Traveling with a Porpoise

We were on our way back to Juneau on the M/V David B after finishing a workshop in Glacier Bay. Not far out of Juneau a pod of Dall's Porpoise decided to surf our bow wave. We all rushed to the bow, cameras in hand, madly clicking away. The success rate is often pretty low. For every great one there may be fifty of just the splash. So I decided to take the lemons and make lemonade. I found that the "mistakes" had a charm all their own.
